  • There are direct flights to Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport from Amsterdam, Frankfort, Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore and other cities. You are advised to fly to Hangzhou via Hong Kong or Beijing if all possible. Transfer from Beijing or Hong Kong to Hangzhou Airport takes no more than 2 hours.
  • Shanghai Pudong Airport is one of the largest and busiest airports in Asia. There are direct flights to Shanghai Pudong Airport from New York, San Francisco, Vancouver, Paris, London, Frankfort and many more. An express train service from Shanghai to Hangzhou takes one and a half hours. You need to take subway, taxi or bus to Shanghai Railway Station from the airport. Alternatively, you may take the shuttle bus from Shanghai Pudong Airport to Hangzhou. The journal takes normally less than three hours. On arriving in Hangzhou, you can take a local taxi to the conference hotel.
  • The Shanghai-Hangzhou high-speed rail service is now avaliable.
    Shanghai and Hangzhou are now connected by an express rail service, further expanding China’s network of high-speed trains.

    The 202km journey has been shortened to 45 minutes from 78 minutes. It begins at Shanghai Hongqiao Station and passes through nine stops before arriving at Hangzhou Station.

    Since no central online booking engine exists currently, the most practical way to purchase tickets is to buy directly at the station or through travel agents. A one-way first-class ticket for the entire journey costs RMB131 (US$20.1) and a second-class ticket costs RMB82 (US$12.96).
  • There will be complimentary pick-up transport service at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport. There will also be guide service at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, and there will be buses for attendees who arrive at Shanghai Pudong International Airport after 8:00pm (USD20/person,RMB 130). It is suggested that attendees get to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport through Beijing or HongKong.

Guide Services

For conference attendants, we offer guide services from Shanghai Pudong International Airport or Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Statioin or Hangzhou Railway Statioin or Hangzhou Tourist (Yellow Dragon) Center Or Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport on May 8 and 9, 2011. The conference volunteers will use the logo of I2MTC as welcome board.
